Harambee Stars midfielder Johanna Omolo has signed a new one-year deal with Belgian top-flight side Cercle Brugge.
The 31 one-year-old joined Cercle in 2017 after stints with Beerschot, Lommel and Antwerp and was a key member of the team as they achieved promotion to the nation’s top-flight in 2018.
A statement in the club’s website noted: “Johanna Omolo has signed a new contract. The 31-year-old Kenyan international signed a new one-season deal and is entering his 4th football year at Cercle.”
Omolo has been one consistent figure in the Harambee Stars teams and was part of the 2019 squad that made it to Egypt for the African Cup of Nations.
He scored the sole goal in Stars last match which came against Togo at the MISC Kasarani in the 2021 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers; a game that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Omolo has featured 59 times for Cercle in all competition scoring four goals in the process.
