Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wished Alexis Sanchez all the best after the winger completed his permanent move to Inter Milan on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, United confirmed that Sanchez completed his move to Milan on a permanent deal. The former Arsenal man joined the Red Devils in January 2018 with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is currently on loan at AS Roma moving in the opposite direction.
All eyes were on Sanchez as United fans expected the Chilean to become a big player at Old Trafford but that didn't happen and went on to just score five goals in 45 appearances for Solkjaer's men. At the start of the current season, Sanchez joined the Serie A side on a season-long loan.
"We wish him all the best," he said.
"He's a top player. For whatever reason, we didn't see the best of Alexis, but he's a top professional and we just wish all the best," he added.
The 31-year-old has netted four goals in 22 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri.
