Ligue 1 side AS Monaco has completed the signing of French young defender Axel Disasi from Stade de Reims.
Disasi who had attracted interests from Premier League clubs Wolves and Southampton has now ended the speculations after signing for Monaco until the summer of 2025. Monaco reached an agreement with Reims for the transfer of the former U-20 international for an estimated fee of around € 13M + € 2M bonus.
"We are delighted that Axel has chosen to join AS Monaco. His qualities as a defender, his maturity and his experience in the French Championship, despite his young age, will be additional assets that we are happy to make available to Niko Kovac's squad for the next five seasons," a statement from the club read.
