Chelsea has made an £80m transfer breakthrough in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both teams have reached a total agreement with Leverkusen expected to earn €20M on add ons.
“Total agreement to be reached on nest hours with Bayer Leverkusen. Last bid is going to be accepted. €80M + €20M add ons as a final fee,” Romano tweeted.
Haverts will be the latest new face at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner in big-money deals.
Chelsea has been locked in lengthy negotiations with Leverkusen about getting a deal over the line and it now seems as though a deal is going to get done.
The club sis aid to be in talks with PSG defender Thiago Silva too as they seek to bolster their defence ahead of the new campaign.
