English Premier League side Leicester City have signed Atalanta full-back Timothy Castagne.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a deal between Leicester and Atalanta have been agreed with the Italian side going for AS Roma’s Rick Karsdorp as replacement albeit on a loan deal.
Leicester is keen to add cover at left-back after selling Ben Chilwell to Chelsea last week with Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico and Castagne's Atalanta team-mate Robin Gosens on their shortlist.
Castagne helped Atalanta to a third-place finish in Serie A and the Champions League quarter-finals last season where they were eliminated by finalist Paris Saint Germain.
He primarily played as a right-wing-back for the Italian side but is capable of playing on the left and in a back four.
The 24-year-old was in the last year of his contract and it is believed Leicester have spent around £21.5m for his services; the highly-rated defender having won nine caps for Belgium.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers tried to sign the player while he was still in charge of Celtic and it will be interesting to see how he slots in the Premier League.
