Chelsea FC is set to announce the signing of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Haverts after the completion of his medical tests in London.
According to Bild’s to Christian Falk, the German had his medicals on Sunday with the player expected to join the Blues for an initial €80 million with another €20m to be paid in bonuses; the player expected to sign a five-year deal.
The confirmation comes days after transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that the paperwork between Chelsea and the German club was signed nine days ago and Chelsea are already preparing the official announcement.
Haverts will be the latest addition in the Frank Lampard team with the Blues being one of the busiest teams in the window.
The team has already acquired the services of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva and is expected to offload some players to create space for the new arrivals.
