Alexis Sanchez is just greedy, according to former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour.
Sanchez signed for United in January 2018, leaving Arsenal as part of a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but the Chilean revealed on Instagram on Thursday evening that he wanted to quit United after just a single training session with his new teammates.
Now, Former Gunners midfielder Parlour has admitted he was shocked at the Chilean’s comments and labelled him as “greedy”.
Speaking on Friday’s talkSPORT Breakfast show, Parlour said: “I can’t believe you want to leave a club after one training session. How does that work?
“You’ve got to give yourself a chance; it’s new surroundings and a different way of training than at Arsenal.
“And it shouldn’t come down to wages, but he was on £560,000-a-week and he wants to leave straight away? You’ve got to work hard.”
There was plenty of speculation that Sanchez would join Manchester City, rather than United, but he opted with the latter.
Nowadays, Sanchez is at Inter Milan, after failing to rediscover the sensational form he showed at Arsenal during his four-year stay with the Gunners.
