Southampton are reportedly interested in making a move for Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Hasenhuttl needs to bolster his midfield ahead of the season that kicks off on Saturday and the 22-year-old could fit the bill.
Choudhury registered one goal and one assist respectively in 29 appearances across all competitions last season.
The Telegraph believe the move could be until for the youngster to be guaranteed more game precisely when Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers prefers Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet in his midfield.
He would rather go to a team where he can consistently feature in the starting lineup and with Southampton its ideal to fill the void that Hojbjerg has left.
