Laliga giants FC Barcelona have turned to agent Jorge Mendes to help them in the pursuit of striker Lautaro Martinez.
Barcelona is looking for a striker as they expect Uruguayan Luis Suarez to leave with Lautaro being their topmost target but the transfer has been hard to crack as there are claims that Inter is playing hardball in the negotiations.
Apart from the hard negotiations, Barca wants to sell some of their players to fund such moves but are yet to find suitors for the players they consider surplus to requirement.
Corriere dello Sport now says that the club has asked Mendes to try and help the club raise funds by selling players.
Lautaro wants to join Barcelona and his representatives are doing their best to make it happen, however they will also meet Inter in the coming days to discuss possible contract renewal.
To this point, the Blaugrana have been unable to reach an agreement with Inter, who were pointing to the Argentine's 111-million-euro release clause before it expired and have since stuck to a figure close to this.
Inter too is said to be reluctant to lose the player as they would want to find a replacement for the Argentine if he is to be allowed to leave.
