Tottenham Hotspur have entered rapid race to sign Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla

Tottenham Hotspur have joined Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.

According to The Sun via Italian publication, L'Arena, Spurs are reportedly eager to sign Marash before the summer transfer window closes business on October 5.

The reports further added that Jose Mourinho is looking to bring a new centre-half following the departure of Jan Vertonghen who made the move to Portuguese side Benfica.

Spurs have been monitoring Kumbulla's movement following his impressive exploits in the Serie A last season where he registered 25 appearances.

Inter Milan and Lazio have also been credited with an interest in the Hellas Verona rising star.
