Chelsea FC might miss the services of winger Christian Pulisic when they take on Liverpool in the weekend according to manager Frank Lampard.
The Blue began their season with a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night but they did that without the USA international who has a hamstring problem.
"Christian was training with us last week but he had a little bit of discomfort a couple of days ago where he was trying to train with us and be in contention for today.
"It would have been a big ask for today but he's had to take a few steps back. That's one that I don't have big news on at the minute. We'll see," Lampard said after the Brighton game.
Chelsea face champions Liverpool on Sunday in a top of the table clash with the Jurgen Klopp side having started their season with a hard 4-3 win over newcomers Leeds at Anfield.
In the absence of Pulisic, Lampard started all his big guns in the Brighton game with Haverts and Werner all starting the game; the club having to do without new signing Ziyech too who injured himself in the preseason.
