Laliga giants Real Madrid will be without the services of Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard in their league opener against Real Sociedad.
Reports from the Daily Mail indicates that neither player was summoned for Tuesday's training match against Getafe, the last for Madrid before its league opener on Sunday.
While Hazard has been working on his fitness after it was reported that he returned to preseason overweight, Bale didn´t play as he awaits a possible transfer with United and Spurs both linked with the player.
According to Spanish media, Madrid won by the warm-up match by five goals though there was no information on the scorers. the game was played at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium in the club´s training centre, where again Madrid will host its matches as the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium undergoes renovation work.
Madrid was set to begin its season over the weekend with a tie against Getafe but the game was postponed as they had been given an extended break following their participation in the Champions League. Their opponents, Real Sociedad, opened their season with a 1-1 draw at Valladolid last Sunday.
Playmaker Martin Odegaard, back with Madrid from a loan to Real Sociedad, also did not play in Tuesday´s game because he wasn´t fully fit. Other absent players who were not fit included Francisco "Isco" Alcarón, Sergio Reguilón and Luka Jovic.
