Manchester United might miss the services of eleven first-team players ahead of their league opener against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
United didn’t participate in the opening Premier League last weekend due to their involvement in Europe last season; the team using the extended break to entertain Aston Villa in a friendly which they lost.
The club has thus far signed just one player in Van De Beek and according to Manchester United Evening news, they face a crisis ahead of the Palace tie as some of their first-team players are not in a perfect condition.
Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Eric Bailly only returned to full training on Monday, while Bruno Fernandes started his straining just days before.
Defender Phil Jones is fit and rearing to go but is unlikely to play as the club seek to sell him in this window. Goalkeeper Sergio Romero is yet to return to training and just as Jones, he is one of the players said to be on his way out of the club.
Forward Mason Greenwood is also still training in isolation after returning to Carrington last week with defender Victor Lindelof and striker Anthony Martial are set to be assessed by United staff after the two performed on international duty for Sweden and France respectively.
Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford appear the only dead certs to start for United against Palace, having all played against Villa.
