Wolves revive interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha

Wolverhampton Wanderers kickstarted their campaign with a statement following their 2-0 victory over Sheffield United on Monday night.

It has however appeared that Wolves are not done in the transfer market and will be hoping to sign additional players as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to bolster his midfield and attack respectively.

It comes as no surprise that the club is targeting yet another Portuguese and this time it is in the form of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha.

According to A Bola (via Sport Witness), Wolves are monitoring the 25-year-old's movements as they prepare to move in before the summer transfer window closes on October 5.

However, the move may not come easy as reports claim that Palhinha is currently in talks with Sporting as he looks to sign a new deal that will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2024.

Premier League returnees Leeds United have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
