Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria seems to have sent a message to Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni after he was left out of his team ahead of upcoming international games next month.
Di Maria scored a goal and provided another as PSG ran 3-0 winners over Nice in the French Ligue One on Sunday and taking to Instagram, the former Manchester United player said that he will always fight for his goals and dreams.
“Whatever happens I will never lower my arms, I never did, less now. I always fought and I fight for my goals and my dreams, now more than ever with my head held high to continue, continue and continue,” Di Maria wrote.
Scaloni picked his squad list for next month’s key contests and did not pick Di Maria despite the player being one of the most consistent players at his club.
The move should please PSG as it will give their player the much-needed resting time ahead of a gruelling season with piled-up futures.
104 - Angel Di Maria has been involved in 104 goals in Ligue 1 since the start of the 2015/16 season (48 goals, 56 assists), only Edinson Cavani (125) and Kylian Mbappé (110) has done better in that period. Essential. #OGCNPSG pic.twitter.com/xSXxhysW4w— OptaJean (@OptaJean) September 20, 2020
