Lucas Digne on how Everton have progressed under Carlo Ancelotti

France international Lucas Digne heaped praises on his Everton teammates who were able to bounce back from a goal down to secure a 5-2 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Digne believes the team has shown great progress since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti and hopes they will be able to keep up their form as the 2020/21 season progresses further.

The 27-year-old also touched on the new arrivals Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure whom he believes will continue to change the dynamic of the team with respective abilities.

“Maybe last year we would have lost or drawn this game [against West Brom] but I think we’ve learnt from our mistakes in the past,” Digne told Everton TV.

“We know what we want to achieve this season and we have to show character.

“We are playing good football and it was a good win for us.

“The Club showed character when we bought in the new signings and we’ve been able to show character and ambition on the pitch, too, with the quality we have.

“I’m not surprised by how the new players are playing. I know their quality. They are world-class players.

“As a team, we are doing well for the moment. We have to keep going like this.”
