Premier League: Monday night clashes could make history

Monday night's Premier League matches could see the 2020/21 matchday two become the highest-scoring week since the competition was reduced from 22 to 20 teams for the 1995/96 season.

There have been 39 goals so far from eight matches played on Saturday and Sunday, translating to an average of 4.88.

Monday's two matches; Manchester City vs Wolves and Sheffield vs Aston Villa could see the numbers go past 43, which is the current record achieved during the 2010/11 season.
