Mohammed Katana alias Messi Agege made his long-awaited debut in Belarus on Saturday after helping Isloch to a 4-0 win over Krumkachy in a Cup game.
Katana who started the game was substituted in the 34th minute for Aleksandr Bychenok when his team was already a goal up.
Katana had signed for FC Smolevichi earlier in the year but shifted to Isloch in September barely a month after arriving in Belarus from Kenya; his earlier deal having been delayed by travel restrictions brought about by COVID.
In the game, Pavel Rybak gave Isloch an 8th-minute lead; a goal that separated the two teams in the first half. Dmitri Borodin Godfrey Bitok and Alexandr Makas scored the other goals for the visitors.
Katana will hope that he can get more playing time when his side hosts Belarus giants BATE in their next game slated for October 18.
The midfielder is part of the 34 man team called to camp by Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi ahead of their friendly against Zambia next week.
