Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu has revealed that the Ghana FA did not approach him to switch his international allegiance according to Ghanasoccernet.
Boadu who currently plies trade for AZ Alkmaar is eligible to play for the Black Stars through his parents said it would have been different if he had two choices to choose from regarding his international future.
Reports claimed for a good while that the Ghana FA had been involved in talks with the 19-year-old but Boadu has now cleared the claims and reiterated that the Netherlands were the only country to approach his services.
Boadu made his international debut for the Oranje in November 2019 when the Dutch secured a 5-0 victory over Estonia in a Uefa Nations League fixture.
“No, actually not. I, my parents, and my agent have never had a call or heard anything," he told the club's official website.
"So I didn’t have to choose. In the end, it all went quickly with Oranje."
