Captain for the night Raheem Sterling sealed the full three points for Manchester City, as the Gunners' bad run against the big six sides continues.
Ederson didn't have all that much to do in the final stages of the match after being made to really work before the break, and Mikel Arteta's men go back to London with nothing but a yellow card for debutant Thomas Partey.
Here is a brief report on the action.
Raheem Sterling (Man City 1-0 Arsenal 23')
It had been a pretty good opening 20 minutes for Arsenal but they went behind after a brilliant move from Man City!
It was Mahrez's pass that started the move and it cut Dani Ceballos out of the game and released Sergio Aguero.
Aguero then slid the ball through for Phil Foden, who cut inside Hector Bellerin before forcing a save from Leno.
The German goalkeeper pushed the ball out to the penalty spot where Sterling swept the ball home.
6 - Raheem Sterling has been directly involved in six goals in his last five Premier League appearances against Arsenal (4 goals, 2 assists). Predictable. #MCIARS— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) October 17, 2020
