Newcastle United 1-4 Man United: Late Red Devils' flurry sees off the Magpies

Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Marcus Rashford were all on target as Manchester United hit four past Newcastle, despite going behind inside two minutes of the match.

Here's the action:

Goals:

Luke Shaw (OG 1-0 2')

From a Manchester United throw-in, Newcastle took the lead!

It was a counter-attack at a break-neck pace as Shelvey drove into opposition territory. He played Krafth in on the overlap and his driven cross was deflected past the wrong-footed De Gea by Luke Shaw.

Harry Maguire (1-1 23')

Harry Maguire had had a week to forget but he took a step in the right direction as Manchester United drew level.

Mata swung a corner in from the left and the big center-back rose high above Fernandez to send a towering header into the far corner.

Bruno Fernandes (1-2 86')

Shot number for the Reds 25 worked the oracle.

What a lovely counter-attack it was! Newcastle got out of their half and loaded the box from a free-kick but United cleared. It sparked a counter with Juan Mata spraying a ball to Rashford who found Fernandes with a clever reverse ball in behind. The angle was tight but the classy customer found the top corner, giving Darlow no chance.

A. Wan-Bissaka (1-3 89')

The full-back has broken his goal duck!

On his 50th appearance for United, Wan-Bissaka slams home his first senior goal.

It was all too easy really. United worked the ball nicely through the phases which left Wan-Bissaka as the overload down the right. He had no interest in going for the corner flag and charged towards the box before unleashing a fiery effort from 18 yards into the roof of the net.

Marcus Rashford (1-4 90+6')

Newcastle threw the towel in but United were unleashing more punches.

Fernandes fired the ball over Krafth and Rashford was just too quick for him. He sprinted through on Darlow, who was playing on one leg and finished easily into the bottom corner.
