Arsene Wenger has responded to Jose Mourinho's recent comments on why he did not feature in the Frenchman's book.
The Portuguese was last week asked why he was never mentioned in Wenger's autobiography, and he had a perfect answer, saying it waa because the former Arsenal manager never beat him.
"You are not going to do a chapter about 12 or 14 matches and never winning one.
"So why should he speak about me in his book. A book is a thing to make you happy to make you proud. So I understand perfectly the situation."
In response, Wenger, who spoke to Canal Football Club, recalled their duels during his days at the helm of the Gunners, saying;
“It does not upset me. With him its constant provocation. I feel like I am at kindergarten, but that is part of his personality.
"And it is false, we beat him (2 out of 19 times). We won, and there were also a lot of draws… And it is not “you” who wins, you participate in the victory. It is “we” who win. The manager is there to get the maximum out of the team.”
