Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has been forced to go into self-quarantine after exposing himself to Covid-19.
As per Dario Sports, the Spaniard will now miss his club’s Champions League test against Ferencvaros at Camp Nou after a member of his family tested positive for the virus.
It is believed Bartomeu tested negative for the virus but must await the confirmation results of a follow-up test to confirm that he does not have Covid.
The reports indicate that Bartomeu received the news on the same day as a board meeting which was to determine what approach to take following a vote of no confidence being confirmed in the president and whether or not there would be resignations.
Bartomeu has been having problems of late since the Messi saga in the summer which forced a section of the Barca fans and board to call for his resignation.
Apart from his club troubles, the Catalan police, last month, accused the beleaguered club supremo on corruption charges, something he has vehemently denied.
