Ajax bounced back to winning ways with a 13-0 thumping of VVV-Venlo in the Eredivisie on Saturday evening.
The Amsterdam-based side traveled to Venlo on the back of a narrow 1-0 loss to Liverpool in the Champions League in mid-week, and they wrote their name in the league's history books.
The win saw them record the biggest victory ever the league has ever seen, with Lassina Traoré grabbing five of the goals.
The 19-year-old further grabbed three assists, bagging the ma-of-the-match award.
The team broke their own record set in May 1972, when they beat Vitesse 12-1.
It was a special moment and it got fans buzzing on social media.

🤍❤️ 4-goal @JohanCruyff inspired @AFCAjax to a 12-1 defeat of Vitesse in 1972 & an @eredivisie record victory. Today 5-goal Lassina Traore inspired a 13-0 away win that broke that record. He's only 19 🤯 pic.twitter.com/7Ywe36berd— FIFA.com (@FIFAcom) October 24, 2020
