Mikel Arteta has called for VAR to be introduced into the Europa League following an awful call against Eddie Nketiah on Thursday evening.
Arsenal beat Molde 4-1 but that could not have been the result as Eddie Nketiah's strike was ruled out for offside. Molde took the lead through Martin Ellingsen with Nketiahs strike, which could have been equalizer flagged offside.
The Gunners went on to win thanks to two own goals from the visitors before Nicholas Pepe and Joe Willock ensured the north London side continue with their 100% start to the Europa League.
Nketiah's strike, that could have been the leveler was ruled out for offside but replays show he was at least a yard onside but there was no VAR to intervene.
"I don't understand," said Arteta.
"I don't think it makes any sense when we have the technology and we all believe it is the right call for everybody to do it."
"So I don't understand and we were complaining with the referee because we were told he was clearly onside and obviously it's a situation that can clearly change the game. So I think it is something they have to look at and if possible change it."
