- Fulham 1-1 Everton
- Liverpool 2-1 Leicester
Here's why we've made them:
🏟 Newcastle vs Chelsea
Newcastle has been an inconsistent but entertaining side in the EPL this season (W3, D2, L3), with five of their last six league outings featuring goals at both ends. However, no clean sheet in seven league matches is their worst run since conceding in 11 straight games in 2017. Timo Werner has netted five goals in Chelsea’s last four matches, which is bad news for the Magpies. Frank Lampard can steer Chelsea to only their second win in their last eight attempts at St James' Park.
🏟 Aston Villa vs Brighton
Brighton's league position of 16th doesn't paint a pretty picture but their performances have been much better than their results suggest on paper. Both sides have scored in each of the last five meetings between these sides and three of those meetings ended in an identical 1-1 scoreline. Villa has made a flying start to the season but they might hit a bump in the road here.
🏟 Spurs vs Man City
Tottenham is unbeaten in the Premier League since an opening day defeat to Everton (W5, D2), winning their last three league matches by a single-goal margin. Although Spurs won this corresponding fixture 2-0 last season, their overall head-to-head record with Guardiola's men isn't good, winning just two of their last nine against the Citizens (D2, L5). Man City is unbeaten in six EPL matches (W4, D2) after three consecutive defeats in July, keeping a clean sheet in three of those, and they'll have to be at their very best to contain Harry Kane - the Spurs hotshot has 17 goals & 10 assists in his last 14 starts.
🏟 Man United vs West Brom
United won convincingly at Everton last time out but the pressure is still firmly on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's shoulders as the Red Devils have failed to win any of their first four home matches in the Premier League. West Brom arrives here with problems of their own, winless in eight matches this season, but they will be buoyed by their recent record at Old Trafford which reads W3, D1, L1. This one isn't gonna be pretty.
🏟 Fulham vs Everton
The home side on the day has won both of the last two meetings between Fulham and Everton to nil. For all of the Toffees' early-season promise, they've picked up just one point in their last four matches, and that was in a 2-2 draw in the Merseyside Derby on 17 October. Three consecutive defeats have followed, meaning that Fulham might be confident they can snatch something at Craven Cottage.
🏟 Liverpool vs Leicester
Liverpool has dominated this fixture in recent times, winning five and losing none of the last six Premier League head-to-heads. The Reds must now count the cost of an extensive injury list following the international break and prepare for a meeting with the Flying Foxes, who have won six of their first eight Premier League matches. That's a better start than they made in their 2016 title-winning campaign. Liverpool's extra squad depth might just be the clincher here as they can call upon the likes of Diogo Jota from their talented bench to partner Sadio Mane in attack.
