Local football returns to our screens this weekend after some international action.
While there is a full fixture of eight games on offer, TV slots make it impossible to broadcast all the matches. So which teams will be afforded the opportunity to be seen on the box on Saturday and Sunday?
Gavin Hunt’s Kaizer Chiefs will visit Golden Arrows eThekwini, while in Soweto Orlando Pirates will host dangerous hoodoo side SuperSport United. 24 hours later will be AmaZulu going to Pretoria to face the champions on Sunday.
Full weekend details:
Saturday 21 November
- Arrows vs Chiefs at 15:30
The home side is unbeaten in three, including a buoyant 3-1 win over SuperSport. But Arrows conceded a goal in each of the last three games. Chiefs have astonishingly failed to score in the last three games, where there’s two losses and a draw. But there’s way too much pressure to drive the side to force a result on Saturday.
Prediction: Arrows 1-2 Chiefs
- Pirates vs SuperSport at 18:00
Bucs are the most confident and dangerous side in the country right now after smashing Chiefs 5-0 on aggregate in the MTN8 semis before the break. But SuperSport is a wounded hoodoo side after losing to Arrows and Celtic in the cup, where they conceded a combined four goals.
Prediction: Pirates 3-2 SuperSport
Sunday 22 November
- Sundowns vs AmaZulu at 15:30
The champions are already at the top of the league with two wins and a draw. Visitors AmaZulu have a mixed bag of a draw, loss and a win.
Prediction: Sundowns 2-1 AmaZulu
All three games will be on SuperSport 202.
