Five bets to place around Europe this Saturday

It's the weekend and that means it's football time.

Spurs vs Man City

Tottenham is unbeaten in the Premier League since an opening day defeat to Everton (W5, D2), winning their last three league matches by a single-goal margin. Although Spurs won this corresponding fixture 2-0 last season, their overall head-to-head record with Guardiola's men isn't good, winning just two of their last nine against the Citizens (D2, L5). Spurs will look to talisman Harry Kane for inspiration whose red-hot form has seen him directly contribute to 27 goals in his last 14 starts this season (17 goals, 10 assists). This should be a cracker.

📲 Pick: Over 2.5 match goals

Newcastle United vs Chelsea

Newcastle has been an inconsistent but entertaining side in the EPL this season (W3, D2, L3), with five of their last six league outings featuring goals at both ends. However, no clean sheet in seven league matches is their worst run since conceding in 11 straight games in 2017. Frank Lampard will be looking to steer Chelsea to only their second win in their last eight attempts at St James' Park, having lost five and drawn one of their last seven visits. Chelsea has netted more goals than any other EPL side this season (20) and have scored three or more in five of their last six.

📲 Pick: Over 1.5 Chelsea match goals

Armenia Bielefeld vs Bayer Leverkusen

After losing five straight Bundesliga matches, Arminia Bielefeld’s four points after seven rounds is now a worse return than in any of the previous seven seasons in which they were relegated from the top flight. Leverkusen's last five competitive wins all saw both teams score, over 3.5 goals, the opener netted by the 20th minute, and at least one goal after the 75th minute. This should be entertaining judging by their early-season exploits.

📲 Pick: Over 2.5 match goals

Aston Villa vs Brighton

Brighton has only picked up three points from a possible 12 in their last four EPL outings but their league position of 16th doesn't really match the performances they have produced to date. Aston Villa's season has fluctuated between the sublime and the ridiculous with wins against Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal canceled out by recent home defeats against Southampton and Leeds. Brighton will feel they can get something out of this.

📲 Pick: Over 1.5 match goals

Fulham vs Everton

The home side on the day has won both of the last two meetings between Fulham and Everton to nil. For all of the Toffees' early-season promise, they've picked up just one point in their last four matches, and that was in a 2-2 draw in the Merseyside Derby on 17 October. Three consecutive defeats have followed, meaning that Fulham might be confident they can snatch something at Craven Cottage.

📲 Pick: Over 1.5 match goals
