Gerard Pique is not giving up hope just yet about his season and will enquire a second opinion on his injury.
The defender suffered an injury in their 0-1 loss at the hands of Atletico Madrid and while reports revealed that he suffered a grade three sprain with the anterior cruciate ligament damaged partially too, the defender would want another opinion on the injury.
According to Sport, Barca doctors have decided to undertake conservative treatment, and have not specified return date for the player, although sources say it could be around three months before he's back.
According to the reports, after being seen by the club’s doctors, the player now wants to see what prestigious Dr Ramon Cugat, a knee specialist in Barcelona, say about his injury. The doctors’ opinion will help the player decide if he needs surgery or not.
The injury to Pique came when Angel Correa, fouled by Jordi Alba, collided with the defender and fell on his right knee; the player leaving the pitch in tears.
❗Pique has 2 injuries. A sprain that needs at least 3 months to recover, and the ligament injury which needs to be further evaluated. If the ligament needs to have surgery, it would mean at least 8 months of recovery time. [carrusel] pic.twitter.com/Sxd0zOaLVF— Barça Universal (@BarcaUniversal) November 22, 2020
