Laliga side Real Betis wants to boost their ranks with the acquisition of FC Barcelona pair Carles Alena and Riqui Puig.
The duo is considered surplus to requirements by Barca boss Ronald Koeman this despite Puig being highly rated by the club’s hierarchy.
Betis wants to replace the injured Sergio Canales and according to Estadio Deportivo, Betis wants both players on loan deals and have started conversations with Barca to try and get one at the start of the January transfer window.
Canales is expected to be out for five months and with the cub not allowed to make any emergency signings, they will have to wait until January if they are to make any deal happen.
Betis had taken Alena on loan before and did well with the club but the new manager at Manuel Pellegrini is a big admirer of Puig who he feels would help the club achieve its ambitions.
