Istanbul Basaksehir defender Rafael da Silva has sent his best wishes to Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following their Tuesday night defeat.
Rafael who was previously in the books of United has been a key member of the team since joining them in the summer from French side Lyon but still holds his former club in high regard.
After the game, the 30-year-old posted an image of him and United manager Solskjaer saying: "Just hope the best for you and Manchester United keep fighting my friend like you are doing.
"All the best Manchester United, thank you for the warm welcome before and after the game. Love you all."
Rafael who was part of the team that beat United three weeks ago was a fan favourite during his time at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson but the loss to United dimmed his side’s hopes of making it to the last 16 of the competition.
