Striker Harry Kane is enjoying the new responsibilities handed to him by his Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho.
Known for his scoring exploits, Kane has been more of a provider this season with the English striker already on nine assists with the player admitting that he has been a better player under the Portuguese.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Kane said: "It's one of those where when things are going well, people obviously like to praise you, and maybe that has been heightened this season because we've been a bit more clinical and there has been a bit more emphasis on me dropping deeper, but it's just part of my game.
"I've always wanted to defend, always wanted to drop deep and get on the ball. At times, as a number nine, you can get a little lost in games, you can get isolated upfront, so I guess it's my game evolving a little as well, learning how to get involved when you are up against teams that drop deep, things like that.
"I remember when I was in the youth team and playing in central defence, defensive midfield, number eight, number 10, striker, left-wing. It's good, especially when you are younger, to learn different positions and understand those roles, because in a game you are going to find yourself in situations where you might be at left-back, left midfield, and you have that knowledge.
"The biggest thing for me is that I've always had a football brain, I understand the game really well and that's what people are starting to see. I'm just at that age of my career where I'm reaching my peak and I feel good."
