Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an injury update on the defensive duo of Aaron Wan-Bisska and Victor Lindelof.
The duo both came off in United’s Tuesday night Champions League win over Istanbul Basaksehir and according to Solskjaer, Lindelof and Bissaka had back and ankle problems respectively although he expects them to be fit for their weekend game.
"Hopefully they'll be ready for the weekend but we're not sure. It's back problems for Victor and he had an ankle problem, Aaron, so there was no point taking any more chances and risking more swelling to it," Solskjaer said after the game.
Both players have been key figures for United this season but United have able replacements for the positions should they fail to make it in the next game. After coming off, Lindelof was replaced by Axel Tuanzebe with Bissaka giving way for Brandon Williams.
United travels to St. Mary’s to face high flying Southampton this weekend with the hope that they can extend their winning streak to four games.
