Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp pleased with Georginio Wijnaldum amid future uncertainty

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is impressed with midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum's current form despite his future at the club hanging on a thread.

Wijnaldum who joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016 will see his contract expire at the end of the season and could potentially move in the January transfer window.

“I would be happy if he would stay. I am pretty happy with him, as you can see when you look at most of the lineups,” Klopp said as quoted by Reuters.

“Gini is one of the best the best players I’ve ever trained,” Klopp told reporters on Friday. “He has always played well, that’s why he’s played the number of games he has. I cannot remember a lot of bad games.

“He played for us in plenty of different positions and he is in a good moment. Long may it continue... As long as nothing is decided, everything is possible. I am positive.”
