Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam has made a record goalscoring start to this campaign after their 5-0 win over FC Emmen on Saturday.
The outing means that the Erik ten Hag side has now scored over 40 goals in their opening 10 league games for the first time in the club’s history.
This incredible number that has seen them score 42 goals thus far is boosted by their 13-0 away win at VVV-Venlo last month with the other huge wins being the 5-0 wins over Herceles and a 5-1 success against Heerenveen.
Despite the numerous goals, the teams don’t have the top scorer in the league with this feat left for Feyenoord’s Steven Berghuis, Twente’s Danilo and Georgios Giakoumakis of VVV-Venlo who gave nine goals each.
The top scorers in the Ajax team are Lassina Traoré and Dušan Tadić, who both have seven goals to their name.
And it’s not only in their attack that the team has had success, in the ten games, but they have also only conceded five goals.
