Kampala City suffered their first defeat of the season following a 2-1 loss to SC Villa in a match staged at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds, Bombo.
Villa had a better start in the derby as they had a free-kick near the danger zone but Ogwang's attempt went wide. KCCA responded through Waswa but his hard shot went no near goal and it was a goal kick for the hosts.
In the 33rd minute, SC Villa took the lead through Nicholas Kibwage, a goal that made the difference in the first half.
In the second half, the hosts added the second goal through Ronald Ssekiganga after the forward received a beautiful pass from Benson.
Three minutes to stoppage time, KCCA were awarded a penalty with Brian Ahebwa stepping up to beat Meddie Kibiringe from the spot.
Police 3-0 Busoga
Elsewhere at MTN Omondi Stadium, Police FC thrashed Busoga 3-0 to go to the top of the table.
Police opened the scoring in the ninth minute through Derrick Kakoza before Ben Ocen added the second from Ssozi Yousuf's pass.
In the 70th minute, Mubaraka Nsubuga netted the third that ensured Police secure a comfortable victory at home to go to the top of the table with 10 points, one above second-placed KCCA.
