European Roundup: Barcelona resurgence continue as Inter, PSG record wins

FC Barcelona continued with their Laliga resurgence after coming from a goal down to beat PSG 2-1 in a Laliga game staged on Wednesday night.

It was a night to remember for defender Jordi Alba who scored one goal and set up another with the win depriving their opponents of the Laliga league lead.

Alba cancelled out Willian Jose’s opener by curling in a strike in the 32nd minute. The left-back then helped the hosts take the lead a minute before halftime when he crossed for Frenkie de Jong to score.

In other games, Valencia needed extra time to prevail 4-2 at Terrassa in the first round of the Copa del Rey with teams from the top-flight. Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Levante, Alaves and Elche all enjoyed comfortable victories.
