Laliga giants FC Barcelona are monitoring the contract situation of Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Aguero is yet to be handed a new deal by the English side despite his contract set to expire in the summer with reports strongly linking him with a move to French moneybags Paris Saint-German managed by fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino.
According to a report from The Sun, Barcelona will rival PSG for the player as they are in the market for a striker after failing to replace Luis Suarez who joined Atletico Madrid last summer.
According to reports, City is yet to approach the player or his representatives over a possible renewal a move that has seen some fans already reserved in losing the player.
While Aguero has some legendary status in the club and fans would want him to stay longer, City feel that his fitness problems are a worry and want to wait to see how the player performs in the second half of the season if he is to be handed a new deal.
