Arsenal will have to wait a little longer to learn the extent of Kiera Tierney's injury.
The defender was withdrawn from the starting lineup just before Arsenal's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Thursday night, after picking an injury.
Speaking after the match, coach Mikel Arteta said they did not know the extent of the damage, but was optimistic he will be back soon.
"We don’t know [how long he’ll be out for]. We’ll probably know more tomorrow after testing him and knowing more about the injury and how long he’s going to be out. Certainly, it was a big disappointment on the day of the match to lose him, but hopefully, he can be with us very quickly,"
The injury limited the Spaniard's options and interfered with his attacking plans.
"It is a challenge when you create a game plan for the day and just a few hours before the game he has to pull out. But we have other players to do it and they have to step in,"
"Kieran’s progression over the last few months has been incredible and now it’s for another player to step in and do what he does,"
The draw saw the Gunners remain 11th on the log on 24 points after 18 matches, but could lose the spot if Leeds win against Brighton on Saturday.
