Manchester United midfielder Fred has admitted that they are hoping that midfielder Paul Pogab will stay at the club.
Pogba has been a subject of speculation since last year with his agent Mino Raiola admitting that the player might leave Old Trafford in the summer but according to Fred, the Frenchman is one of the most hard-working players in the squad.
"He (Pogba) is one of the guys who works hard, works hard, is very serious in training. Inside the locker room is a guy who helps us, who is always in a good mood.
"We hope so much that he can stay, everyone knows his quality, this is indisputable. It helps us a lot on and off the field and donates to the maximum, whenever we donate to the maximum it makes great matches. And we hope he stays and is always at his best," Fred told Globo Esporte via Tribuna.
Fred himself has been one of the most consistent players for United this season. The Brazilian has formed a formidable partnership with McTominay at the heart of United midfield something that has allowed Pogba to play further afield; the trio expected to start together as United face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
