According to sporting director Paolo Maldini, Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is set to join AC Milan in the January transfer window.
"We wanted Fikayo Tomori also last summer. "He's always been one of our targets. He's perfect for our squad, we're working on the last details," Maldini told Sky Italia.
Tomori has fallen out of favor under head coach Frank Lampard and is looking to leave the club in the hope of more regular game time.
The 23-year-old impressed during a loan spell with Derby County in the Championship two seasons ago under Lampard, but since returning to Chelsea, Tomori has seen the likes of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma picked ahead of him.
