Premier League side Arsenal and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have reached an agreement to terminate the defender's contract.
Sokratis is yet to feature for Arsenal this season after the defender was omitted from the Premier League and Europa Leagues squad for the first leg of the campaign. And now the club's Chief Arsenal Reporter Chris Wheatley has revealed the pair have reached an agreement to terminated the defender's contract with an announcement imminent.
The 32-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Emirates with the likes of Genoa, Betis, and Olympiakos interested in securing his services. The Greek international will become the second player to see his contract terminated this season after Mesut Ozil who is now set to sign for Turkey side Fenerbahce.
