Manchester City defender Eric Garcia will be moving back to Barcelona in the summer on a free transfer.
There had been reports that Garcia should have joined the Laliga gainst this January as City didn’t want to lose him for free but the same won't take place with Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa confirming that they will have their former player back next season.
The same was confirmed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who revealed that everything was in place for Garcia’s return to Camp Nou.
The 20-year-old who was named in City bench in their Wednesday 2-0 win over Aston Villa is a La Masia product and has never hidden his admiration for the club; his move instigated by lack of playing time at City with Guardiola known for rotating his defenders.
At center back, the Spaniard the luxury of fielding either Laporte, John Stones, and summer signing Reuben Diaz.
