Ecuadorian midfielder Caicedo looks set to play in the English Premier League, despite Manchester United’s decision to look elsewhere.
As previously reported here on Futaa early in the year, Manchester United’s scouts discovered the 19-year-old Caicedo dazzling in Independiente del Valle’s central midfielder - and United began to prepare a bid before suddenly deciding to drop interest.
According to SkySports, Brighton are set to sign the South American player, as early as Friday.
“Brighton target Moises Caicedo is expected to fly into England on Friday to finalise a £4.5m move from Independiente Del Valle,” Sky reported.
“According to the Ecuadorian side's General Manager Santiago Morales, a work permit has already been arranged along with a 20 per cent sell-on clause included in the deal,” added the report.
