🔴 Early Man United team news ahead of clash against the Blades

Manchester United will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host Sheffield United in an English Premier League clash.

Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer's side booked a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Sunday night with a 3-2 win over Liverpool, and are perfectly perched at the top of the Premier League table on 40 points.

The win against Jurgen Klopp though came at a cost as Marcus Rashford picked an injury, and will be assessed ahead of the match.

Speaking after the game, Solskajer said;

“Marcus felt his knee but we'll have to do a scan,”  Solskjaer revealed. “Hopefully, it's not too bad but we'll see tomorrow.”

The 23-year-old is the only new worry at the moment, with the rest of the team largely available for selection.

Eric Bailly, who was not involved against Liverpool, is also fit, with the Norwegian explain his absence.

“Eric will be available,” explained the boss. “It was just a little thing and I didn’t want to risk him, Victor [Lindelof] was ready, and we had cover on the bench. He’s fine, no problem. I can’t say if he’s playing but he’ll be fit and available for selection for Wednesday.”

Solskjaer understands the challenge ahead of them despite their good run and warned his side against complacency.

"There was a great atmosphere in our dressing room,” revealed the manager, “but now I want to see the reaction, how we can now mentally go again, against Sheffield United. That’s the challenge now,"

”We have beaten Liverpool, and everyone is elated, very happy and they should be, but tomorrow morning I want to see players thinking about Wednesday night, not what happened today.”

With Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial, all involved against Liverpool, Solskajer will have an almost fully-fit squad to pick from.

Jesse Lingard, who has been linked with a move away during the current transfer window might not be leaving after all, giving Solskajer more options.
