John Terry has tipped Mason Mount to become Chelsea's future captain after a fine start to life under new coach Thomas Tuchel.
Mount is arguably the most successful academy product to break into Chelsea's senior side over the last two years. The youngster was an essential player under former boss Frank Lampard and was handed the captain's armband before the dismissal of the club legend.
And Terry has hailed Mount tipping the midfielder to become the future captain of the Blues.
"Mason Mount future Chelsea captain? 100%. I think he’s been Chelsea’s best player this season. Great lad, trains unbelievably well. He’s been there since he was 8 so definitely showing leadership qualities & in my mind Chelsea & England captain for me," he said.
Meanwhile, UEFA has confirmed that Chelsea's Champions League last 16 first leg away to Atletico Madrid will be played at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest in Romania.
