Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has warned his side of Luis Suarez's threat ahead of their Champions League first leg, the round of 16 tie against Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea will be up against Atletico on Tuesday evening and Tuchel has urged his side to be wary of Suarez's threat ahead of the away trip. The Blues boss admitted he is a fan of the Uruguayan has he tried to sign him for Paris Saint Germain before he moved from Barcelona to Madrid in September.
Tuchel is yet to lose a match as Chelsea boss, with the west London side fifth in the Premier League standings and into the FA Cup quarter-finals. However, the German will be facing yet again another test against Diego Simeone's side who admitted Suarez could be key to his side's hopes of beating the Blues.
"This is for sure a big test — sporting, mentally and physically," Tuchel said on Monday.
"This is a very experienced club at this level, a very experienced and tough coach to play against. It's clear when you play against Atletico what you get. You get hard fighting and there are many teams who have experienced this," he added.
The 34-year-old is La Liga's joint-top goalscorer alongside former teammate Lionel Messi.
Chelsea will miss the services of Thiago Silva who is recovering from a knock but Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic are all available for selection.
Simeon will be without defender Kieran Trippier who is suspended as well as Hector Herrera who will miss through illness. Yannick Carrasco is sidelined with a foot injury and defender Jose Gimenez suffered a muscle problem at the weekend.
