19-year-old French central defender Benoit Badiashile believes he made the right decision to decide against signing for Manchester United.
According to the Monaco star, the English giants wanted to sign him last summer while he was playing for Monaco’s reserve side.
Badiashile since elevated to the senior side where he has been pivotal in Monaco’s current fifth-place position with six points behind leaders Lille.
Asked if he regrets turning down the Red Devils, Badiashile believes he made the right decision.
“No, not at all,” he said via Goal.
“It was the right choice, first off is that I have not enjoyed good seasons since I have been at Monaco.
“We played to stay up and so now I am really experiencing being at the top of the table and I think that continuing with the club that trained me was the right decision and this is being proved by the season that we are having,” concluded the left-footed, 1,94 m tall defender with 25 appearances and two goals.
