Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's work at Manchester United.
Lukaku spent less than a year playing under Solskjaer at United before he left for Inter Milan for a reported fee of £74 million. The Belgian left under unclear circumstances and he has now revealed he was the one who asked to quit the club with Solskjaer giving the green light for his departure despite the Red Devils having no replacement line-up.
Since Lukaku's departure, the Red Devils have kicked on well, sitting second on the log in the Premier League ten points behind leaders Manchester City.
In a Q&A with fans on Twitter, Lukaku gave a glowing assessment of Solskjaer while admitting he loves his former boss 'as a manager and as a person.'
"He is doing great," said Lukaku.
"You guys have to know I love him as a manager and as a person and I wish him nothing but the best," he added.
On Marcus Rashford
"He is improving all the time! I love to see him play. One of the most talented I’ve played with for sure."
