Manchester United have been given a timely boost with the news that striker Edinson Cavani is fit to play against Crystal Palace.
United have a tight future coming up with the tie against Palace on Wednesday followed by a faceoff with title rivals Manchester City.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the Norwegian confirmed that Cavani had trained but they had to wait longer for midfielder Paul Pogba.
“Edi has trained this morning and hopefully there is no reaction. It looks good. Edi has got the desire and hunger and, of course, he wants to join in, even if it’s from the bench. Hopefully, he’ll say tomorrow that there’s been no reaction.
“Paul is not ready for us, no. Feeling better but he has not been training with the team yet, so he’s definitely not traveling down to London,” Solskjaer said.
United are 12 points behind City and will hope that Wolves pull a surprise against their title rivals on Tuesday.
On his Zoom call this afternoon, Solskjaer says there are "one or two doubts" for the trip to Crystal Palace tomorrow. Says Cavani trained today and should travel. Pogba still not training with the rest of the squad.— Rob Dawson (@RobDawsonESPN) March 2, 2021
